Inscribed since December 2015 as part of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage, the brandon is a traditional and popular festival that takes place every year in Luchon and the Pyrenees and is generally celebrated during the Saint-Jean festivities.
Local folk groups (Fils de Luchon and Quadrille Luchonnais) will parade from 9pm onwards from the Place du Comminges and along the allée d’Etigny back to the Place Lézat at around 9:45pm for the Brandon blaze at dusk.
