Josette Bonnerot has pursued her passion for painting and drawing since childhood. Her first drawing, at the age of 8, was a portrait of her grandfather, her first model, a patient with an unflappable calm.
It wasn’t until she reached the age of reason and met someone that she dared to exhibit her work to the general public. She loved the Impressionists: Claude Monet, Albert Malet and Georges Seurat. She’s a cheerful lady who likes to go out to the casino openings (among others) and who gave in to Sandrine Michel, director of the cultural centre, to exhibit all her works. This new project has given her a new lease of life, and she’s full of new ideas for her paintings.
Opening on Saturday 9 August at 6.30pm, followed by a drinks reception.
